Hi, I’m Lena!

I am passionate about helping women pursue simple, whole, Christ-centered lives.

My work is rooted in Scripture and shaped by both personal experience and years of walking alongside others through hardship, growth, and healing.

My approach

Rooted & Raw is grounded in Christ and Scripture, with a focus on restorative discipleship.

I care for the whole person emotionally, spiritually, and practically, helping you return to God’s Word as the foundation for lasting change.

While many resources offer temporary help, true healing and transformation come from truth. When your reality feels far from what you hoped for, I walk alongside you with clarity, encouragement, and biblical guidance.

My Story

As a therapist, I came to understand that true transformation requires more than professional knowledge. It requires the eternal truths found in God’s Word.

While my education and experience equipped me to recognize patterns and struggles, it was through deeper study and a growing sense of calling that I embraced this work as ministry.

I understand what it feels like to be lost, confused, and overwhelmed. Yet through it all, I have experienced God’s unwavering faithfulness, and I am here to remind you that His faithfulness extends to you as well.

I walk alongside you not as someone with all the answers, but as someone who has faced hardship and can point you to the One who provides true guidance and hope.

My journey of faith and healing was shaped by a past marked by trauma and hardship. I grew up in a broken home with a single mother who carried unhealed wounds from her own childhood. Because of that, I faced challenges she was not equipped to protect me from.

My father, though well-intentioned, was not present in the ways I needed. This left me vulnerable to experiences that brought deep pain, including sexual trauma and patterns of reckless behavior that defined much of my early years…

At the age of 20, I became a mother and knew something needed to change. When my son was 18 months old, I met my now-husband, and not long after, I came to know the Lord.

Through Christ, I experienced a kind of freedom and healing I had never known. In the midst of grief and brokenness, I began to see what redemption truly looked like.

Life Now

Most days, you will find me teaching, studying, writing, or connecting with the women God has placed in my life. As I have stepped more fully into this season as both a professor and doctoral student, I have found that these roles require much of my time and attention.

Counseling remains deeply important to me and will always be part of my life’s work in some capacity. For the foreseeable future, however, I am not accepting new online counseling clients as I give myself fully to the work God has placed before me in this season.

With every season, I am reminded that healing is real, growth is possible, and God remains faithful through it all.
